StrumBuddy ("the App") is a guitar-learning app developed by Colin Watson. StrumBuddy is built to be private by design: it does not require an account, and it does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information.
None. StrumBuddy does not collect personal data. There is no sign-up, no analytics, and no advertising. The App works fully offline and does not send any data to us or to third parties.
StrumBuddy uses your device's microphone to listen to your guitar so it can tune, follow along, and tell you how cleanly you're playing. This audio is processed in real time on your device only. It is never recorded, saved, or transmitted, and it never leaves your device.
Your progress, streak, and skill history are stored locally on your device so the coach can track your improvement. This information stays on your device and is removed if you delete the App.
StrumBuddy does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.
StrumBuddy is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
