Beer Debt ("the App") is an iPhone and Android app developed by Colin Watson that turns beers into running miles you owe. Beer Debt is built to be private by design: it does not require an account, and it does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information. Everything it knows lives on your phone.
None. Beer Debt does not collect personal data. There is no sign-up, no analytics, and no advertising. The App works fully offline and does not send any data to us or to third parties.
With your permission, Beer Debt reads running workouts from Apple Health (HealthKit): when a run started and ended, and how far you ran. That is the only Health data it reads, and it is used for one purpose: paying down your beer debt and banking credit inside the App.
On Android, with your permission, Beer Debt reads running workouts from Health Connect: exercise sessions of type running, when they started and ended, and the distance recorded during them. That is the only Health Connect data it reads, and it is used for one purpose: paying down your beer debt and banking credit inside the App.
The beers you log, the runs that pay for them, and the rules you set are stored locally on your device so the App can calculate your balance. This information stays on your device and is removed if you delete the App.
Beer Debt does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.
Beer Debt references alcohol and is intended for adults of legal drinking age. It does not collect data from anyone, including children.
